This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
In this unit I learned that in giving the students new words/ vocabulary words it doesn't have to be difficult at first, of course there are also things that we need to consider, i.g: is their culture. If you teach Japanese kids an advanced kind of word in vocabulary clearly they will have a hard time in remembering what is the meaning of that word and on how it is being pronounced and where it is being used. As what I have read in page 1, fourth paragraph, \"An effective teacher will think about which structure is most appropriate to the class and to the language that will be introduced.\"In this unit I learned about the different types of examinations that can be taken before, during, after, and outside of a course. The unit talked about the various tests that a teacher should give such as practice tests and progress tests. I learned that there are multiple tests designed to test a student's English for use on the international level for which a student may want to receive help during my class. This shows me that I should tailor my classes to ready the students to pass these tests as they will show their future schools and employers how well they speak the language overall.
