Unit 10 was focused on a video of a language lesson being taught to a group of Thai students. The goal of the unit was to compare and contrast the same lesson being taught two different ways in an attempt to gauge the level of student participation and understanding. This was a great way to see an actual lesson being taught and the two videos back to back were an excellent way to see how to have a successful classroom experience. Honestly, after watching the first lesson I didn't really know what the teacher was trying to get the class to accomplish, but after the second video it was all made clear. My main takeaway from this unit is how important the use of body language and attitude can be for a teacher to have an engaging and understanding classroom.
