This module showed that it is good to use a mixture of authentic material in the classroom (e.g. newspapers, magazines) and created materials (e.g. crosswords) where appropriate. Teachers may decide that created materials would suit a beginners class as you can control what is in the content or adapt what is in a coursework book. It is important to have a flexible approach when designing materials and if the course work material is unsuitable (e.g. too advanced, or not interesting for the students) or needs adapting (maybe made easier) then the teachers needs to ensure that they have allocated enough time to create their own materials
