This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Briefly, I have learned different methodologies and the fact that there is no clear answer as to which methodology is the best to use. Furthermore, I learned that the EAS can be an effective method for teaching students. I personally use different engage methods, different activate ways, and different study ideas. I like to use different methiodides depending on my student?s background. Some students like the silent way and some like the audio-lingualism. I like to familiarize students with different methods so they can take advantage of each method because each methodology is helpful in its own way. In addition, I leaned that giving feedback is important at the activate stage to encourage self-awareness and improvement. We should not correct students in the activate stage. There are three occasions that we can correct. First when the mistake is with the language point we are teaching. Second, the mistake is being regularly repeated. Third, the mistake seriously impedes understanding.
