This unit teaches us how to write an effective lesson plan. It explains the functions of a lesson plan, it's an aid to to planning, a working document and a record.It shows the basic principles of lesson planning including checking for a balance of skills and keeping it simple. It gives advice on what you can do to ensure a lesson runs smoothly by checking that the equipment works and arranging the seating as desired.It further explains what should be included in a lesson plan such as learner objectives and timing. It gives an example of a lesson plan and a a way to self evaluate and monitor your lessons. I learnt how to construct a lesson plan that will help give the class an efficient structure while still maintaining the flexibility to change according to the students needs.
