This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
It was torture to watch the first lesson. It made me a little angry that he was so offhand and disrespectful to the students, repeating the word, \"easy\", and \"anyone can do it\" and waiting for answers that never came. That moment of dead silence is a nightmare for a teacher, as well, and he should have corrected his attitude and behavior right away to avoid the rest of the class going so badly. He had the students work individually in the first lesson, furthering the gap of misunderstanding on the part of the students. He set them up to fail. I enjoyed the second lesson especially since it was a welcome breath of fresh air from the first! The students were involved and engaged and fully participated to the best of their ability, enabling the teacher to know their level to better assist them in future lessons.
