This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit about theories, methods and techniques was really interesting for me. Most of the information was new. I learned about the methods, especially the silent way. I think this one is really useful because it gives the students the opportunity to think about the answers by themselves. Also about the methods of Jeremy Harmer was really useful, the ESA. Engage, Study and Activate, you can use them on different ways. The first one is the 'Straght Arrow', you use it when you already know what the students need. The second one 'Boomerang ESA' it allows the teacher to see what the students need before teaching the language. The last one, 'Patchwork ESA', you can use it when it is not so straightforward. It was good to read about the difference and what you have to do at every stage. Also the games and tools were very useful.
