I found the first video quite comical in that it was so extreme in terms of the many things the teacher did wrong. I was interested in terms for guessing what he said at the beginning to warn them or prepare them for his harsh presentation of material, etc. One of the big things I got out of the second lesson was the transformation in the teacher and then the students when the teacher smiled. And also the use of names and its importance. The teacher also joked with the students to make them comfortable. Even though he didn't seem to know them (from the fact he didn't know their names) his positive attitude and levity enabled the students to relax and be willing to make mistakes. When mistakes were made, the teacher was extremely helpful in a non-threatening and non-demeaning manner.
