This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit identified the different conditionals and reported speech. There are five main conditionals, which are zero conditional, first conditional, second conditional, third conditional, mixed conditional. Each conditional uses a verb tense (past or present depending on the conditional) formal to follow. This formal will help students understand and refer back to because this skill seems it can be a difficult concept to learn.
The unit also explained reported speech and direct speech. Direct speech is the information that is shared with the listener. The report speech is the information that is being shared by the listener to someone else (of what the primary person shared with the listener). When reporting back a message, the listener should change the verb tense (if not past prefect) to report the message. When reporting the message there may be times when the student might have to use backshifting to share the information.
