As a teacher, it is always important to introduce grammar subjects in a creative and fun way to get students attention and to motivate them. This unit shared some really good ideas of activities to work with this structure of the language. The present tense comes in many forms and the teacher should be confident to teach the details and exceptions of such tense.
More specifically, considering that my students are Brazilians and we add the letter \"s\" to form plural in Portuguese, teaching the present simple in the 3rd person is problematic at the beggining because our students associate the \"s\" with plural. Or, for example, the fact that in our L1 we don't need extra words to help build a question such as \"do\" or \"does\", which causes confusion for begging learners. That being said, knowing what subject your students may find troublesome is indispensable.
