Teaching one-on-one students differs from teaching group classes particulary in terms of group dynamics and the variety of activities which can be used. Teaching children is vastly different to teaching adult learners for a number of reasons. Most important of all is the different use of positive encouragement and frequent praise which in an adult class should be kept much more formal, but in a young learner class should be exaggerated and emphasised in order to build confidence.
