This unit examined some of the difficulties teachers might face as they begin their new positions. This unit began by examining and offering suggestions for your first lesson. First lessons can be particularly daunting for teachers, so the unit offered several suggested activities to help new teachers.
This unit also examined the difficulties of having large classes, classes with different language levels, and classes with shy and quiet students. It also examined the difficulties students might have with relying on their native language or the difficulties they may have with listening activities. For each section the unit was helpful in suggesting ways to address and overcome these problems. I think it was a very encouraging last unit.
