This unit has taught me a lot about pronunciation and phonology, and how to teach others. Pronunciation is a very important part of any language, and it can be tricky when learning a new language. In addition to pronunciation, it is also for important for students to learn and understand the stress, rhythm, and intonation of the language in order to speak it correctly. Not just words communicate a message, but also the way people speak. For example, the intonation, or the volume and pitch in a sentence, convey a message, too. Therefore, it is important that students understand it and can consciously and properly chance their volume or pitch depending on their message.
