The final unit in this great course dealt with several problem situations that may occur in the classroom, and how to deal with them. I learnt various methods of warming and getting to know a new class, and I feel like the various activities suggested such as the 'pass the ball' game will be helpful for when I do have to get to know a new class. The points on handling a class with mixed English proficiencies was very enlightening, and I am grateful for tips such as pairing stronger students with weaker ones. The other sections, such as handling reluctant students or avoiding a student's native language, will undoubtedly prove useful and I feel like this final unit served well in filling in the final gaps of my ESL teaching knowledge.
