Unit 12 looks at the two productive skills writing and speaking and how these skills are incorporated in a typical ESA lesson. Particularly the many examples of activities for controlled, guided and creative activities were very useful. The introduction mentions that many teachers do often not allow for room to practice these skills in the classroom, with correct guidance, but instead assign in as homework ( which then very often isn't done). I couldn't agree more with this and I think it is an essential unit, as it is essential to allow students to practice productive skills with a teacher present.
