We all learned basic present tense in grade school. This unit goes into depth about the rules that guide the different types of present tense while also sharing rules for past participle. In summary, this unit goes over usage for present simple and sample sentences. Present simple sentences form facts, routine actions, declarative commentary, all in present tense. Present continuous tense uses present simple tense of the auxiliary verb \"to be\" along with the verb ending in -ing. It is used to talk about progressive action, frequent actions or developing situations. Present perfect uses the auxiliary verb \"have\" and past participle verb ending in -ed or irregular verb in past tense. Present perfect continuous relates past activities to the present by communicating ongoing activity.
