In this Unit, I had an in-depth understanding how the course should be developed for Business English learners. Level testing and needs analysis is important prior to formal teaching to gather sufficient data from the learners. This will help the instructor understand where the learners are and what are their needs before the teaching process commence. This will facilitate better application of the instructional methods and engage the learners well. I was able to compare and contrast the different testings such as, diagnostic, achievement, aptitude and progress test. I was able to understand when and where each testings are used. Moreover, I learned how to come up with a syllabus and what are the contents needed to create one.
