This unit gave me some practical strategies to ensure that my students will feel safe, included and important in my classroom. I am thankful that classroom management was included in this course because no matter what subject your teaching, how much time you put into planning your lesson, or how incredible your ideas are, if your students do not respect you and behave appropriately your teaching cannot be effective in the was it should be. Out of all the skills I have as a teacher, classroom management skills and techniques are the most essential to my success as a teacher. I look forward to using these techniques in my future classrooms.
