The unit gives information about the different parts of normal speech, the correct term to use when describing them and their function within the sentence. There is also interesting information on problems that students can encounter when learning these words, common mistakes they can make and tips on how to teach them. Although I am a native speaker of English this can also be challenging to me. I learnt to speak English as a child and it feels natural to put certain words in certain orders but this unit gave me the chance to see how learning English as a foreign language can be very confusing for students and how to help guide them through the process.
