Present tenses have four aspects: Present Simple, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous.
There are a few points I consider most informative and valuable in this unit. These include that teachers may elicit the tenses' structure and when an explanation of these structures is necessary, they should be wary of the students? language level choosing the simplest wording accordingly and giving examples for every tense?s usage.
I also consider important to keep in mind that students may confuse tenses but there are many communicative exercises that focus on more than one tense which can be very helpful for this purpose.
