I've learnt that teachers often forget to do writing excercises during their lesson time, but it s very important to give students the time to learn to write properly. In a lesson there needs to be a good balance for accuracy activities as well as fluency activities. During accuracy activities it is important for the teacher to be involved and correct the students. Fluency activities should encourage the students to realy enjoy the language, to be creative with it and discvoer in what ways to use it. To ensure that the students are confident enough for a fluency excercise it is important to to a lot of guided activities. For fluency activities group and pair work are very effective. To teach writing skills it is important to remember that some of the languages that the students grew up with are very different from ours. Spelling words correctly can ve very hard to learn in the english language. The best way to learn proper spelling is to read a lot.
