This unit was a \"do and don't do\" lesson. There are two videos of example lessons. The first was a bad example of teaching, and the second was a good example of a teacher. I learned that the success of a lesson is a direct reflection of the teacher. In lesson one the teacher was quite bad. He used many complicated questions and complex language that the students definitely did not understand. He was also pretty lazy besides sitting down he brushed off student's questions and it was apparent they were intimidated. He kept saying how easy things were even though it was clear that the students were not able to understand. The second lesson was the exact opposite. The teacher was energetic, enthusiastic, and spoke slowly and clearly. He unlike the other teacher, learned names in the beginning and used them throughout the lesson. He demonstrated everything which is also something that didn't happen in the first lesson. Needless to say the student participated and felt much better about the lesson.
