This unit was very useful for me in the sense that it gave me an insight on the real teaching experience, by providing guidelines and examples of lesson plans, which can be used by new teachers. Having a teaching plan is very important, even if it cannot be strictly followed, since things can change during the lesson. The students can feel good when there is a sequence and follow up on the activities they do in the class. A chaotic lesson can make students less motivated, as they will feel they have to organise the lesson on their own, and they can therefore lose credibility in the teaching skills of the teacher.
