This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This lesson was about conditional and reported speech. A conditional contains two clauses, one of which contains the words if, when or similar expressions. The ?if? clause of the sentence must be met in order for the other clause to be true. There are five main conditionals which can be identified by their parts of speech patterns and their usage.
Reported speech is also called indirect speech. Instead of quoting exactly what a person said, we can shift the verb tenses and pronouns to refer to something that happened in the past.
I learned there are many rules and patterns to follow in order to learn and teach conditional and reported speech. I believe it is important for students to know and practice these because it will be a great help in their daily communication.
