In this unit we looked at pronunciation, which can be often overlooked. Specifically how we use intonation and stress to emphasis speech, furthermore techniques and activities that can help students gain confidence when using the language.
We looked at phonetics, the use of stress within a sentence, which I had never really looked at before, despite using it myself!!
Most interestingly we looked at the way in which we speak, the use of mouth and throat. How sounds come to be. This felt quite like a biology lesson, and would certainly be a fun subject to try out with students and even my friends
