For this unit I learnt of the course design and the stages of contact with our clients. To understand more about the needs of each client I understood that meetings, level testing and needs analysis can allow me, the teacher, better understand the level of English Business the client has. After this is done, as syllabus can be designed for the best result of the students. The most common syllabus to choose from are: The structural syllabus which is based on sequencing by grammar complexity; The functioning syllabus that is based around communicative purpose; The learner-led syllabus where students have input to the design and lastly the situational syllabus which is based on situational needs rather than grammar.
