Unit 9 is about lesson planning.
There are different theories about whether there should or shouldn't be a lesson plan. It is true that too much planning isn't always the right thing, but planning gives a teacher more security. Most teachers will find themselves between these two options.
Is it definetly very important for a teacher to be very well organized ( he/she has to check all the equipment if it works, check for a lesson plan, has to be able to easily find his/her working materials..).
A teacher has to be ready to chat with students, when they start coming into the class, so that will break the ice and the students will be ready and motivated to learn.
