There are various different methods and techniques that can be used to teach English. Engage, Study, and Activate is a methodology believed to be a great technique for new teachers. The first step, Engage, focuses on getting the students involved, warmed up, and ready to participate in the lesson. Study, is geared toward practicing a mode of the language and potentially introducing new concepts. Activate, is a stage dedicated to allowing the students to combine what they have just learned with what they already know about the language and focuses on fluency of the language. There are many different activities and tasks that can be used to fulfill each of these stages' goals.
