This unit covered lesson planning and the structure of lesson plans for vocabulary as well as grammar. I learned why lesson planning is important, especially for new teachers and why being flexible rather than rigid with your lesson plans makes the teaching and learning experience go more smoothly. I learned what information to include when drafting lesson plans and how to put together the different components of a good lesson plan that includes materials and activities and which are best suited for each phase. This unit also taught me that evaluating myself after execution of a lesson is helpful in becoming a better teaching and altering things that may or may not work and be able to adjust them in the future.
