This unit taught about the planning of lessons and reasons for making lesson plans. It also taught about ways of thinking through the activities that you would have the children do in a classroom order that would allow them to learn the most. I feel like I have learned that to make a lesson plan in more involved than I had originally thought. I have used lesson plans before when teaching other classes, but I didn't think about what could cause the students, or myself while teaching, to encounter any sort of difficulty. Thinking of parts of the lesson that would catch up the students isn't something that I had been taught to do before, and was interested by that suggestion in this unit. Taking that into consideration will help me to not just be reactive to problems that arise, but instead have a plan to make sure problems are dealt with before they surface.
