This unit deals with Managing the class. It states how and when to use eye contact and gestures, the importance of the teache's voice, and also how to use it. It also deals with how to group students depending on the activity. Grouping can be: whole class, individual work, pair work and group work.
Classroom arrangements are also important and will depend on the space available, the students' ages, etc. Students can be seated in rows, in circles or horseshoe, or in separate tables. The teacher's position, whether seated or standing, is also important.
