This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit was very interesting and eye-opening to me. I would say that I have a good grasp of English grammar/sentence structure. However, when you actually go back and try to remember why a sentence is formed the way it is, I found myself asking, \"Well, why exactly is it like that?\" Or when I was looking at the sections that showed examples of common mistakes that students will make with forming sentences, I knew they wrong because they sounded wrong. But how would I explain to a student that it wrong in the English language when it seems like it would make perfect sense? This unit focussed on the various forms of the present tense and the different situations in which each are used. I do think that before each lesson, I will need to re-visit these rules myself to make sure that I will be able to explain them properly to my students.
