Having the opportunity to watch both videos back to back allowed for me to have a strong visual of the concepts that we have been learning during the course of this program. I really appreciated the stark difference between the two, because it allowed me to visually see what some of the pitfalls I may encounter if I am not conscious about both planning for the lesson, and understanding the needs of my students. The first video really showed the importance of having a plan. Understanding the need to be flexible, and understanding the need to engage the students, and getting them involved in the learning process. The second video succeeded in showcasing the ESA model. It really allowed for me to see the benefits of sharing speaking time with the students, and the use of being more flexible in teaching.
