This unit I found fairly tricky. Reported speech isn't something we as native English speakers often think about. Just remembering how each tense should properly change can be difficult. The conditional clauses were fairly simple. Each condition implies either that something was impossible. Or could have been possible , had something else occured. As far as teaching methods are concerned, it's clear that these tenses are difficult for foreign learners. Hence why learning through hypothetical questions/games is useful. For example, 'if you had to build an ark, which animals and supplies would you bring along?'
