this unit is about specialized types of students. It covers classes with beginners, individual students, classes with children, and students who want to learn business English (ESP for English for a specific purpose), For classes with students who are beginners, these can actually be grouped into several categories that are very close with regards to ability levels. The unit provides tips, points out effective methodologies and techniques that are very useful for such a group of students. And finally, the unit covers potential problems and motivation tips. For teaching individual students, the unit gives useful suggestions, suitable activities, the importance of homework and on checking student work and providing effective feedback. For classes with children, the unit provides general do's and don'ts, class discipline and management suggestions and some don'ts. And finally, for classes with Business English students (ESP students), the unit covers the importance of needs analysis, planning for this type of class, mid-course evaluation, and consideration of materials/resources.
