I have had some experience with developing lesson plans and carrying them out with both small and larger groups of students, however I think I still took away a lot from this unit. It's important to always keep the goal of the lesson in mind when creating the lesson plan and also to sequence goals in a logical sequence so that lessons can build onto one another to form a comprehensive course plan. One of the best pieces of advice that I have heard numerous times from professors and was reiterated in this unit is to keep lessons flexible. This allows the students to feel less restricted, gives them a sense of control of their learning experience and takes away the stress of trying to follow the lesson plan exactly as you had planned it.
