The section about the different types of external examinations that are available was very helpful. I only knew about the TOEFL and the TOEIC, so hearing about other commonly-used English exams was useful (including the Cambridge exams). In the future, I want to be able to help my students prepare for any exams they may wish to take, so it's important I am familiar with the most common ones.
Evaluating student progress, especially when it comes to students retaining what they have learned, is important and it's something I want to work on more. The curriculum at my schools doesn't really allow much time for review, and I want to focus more on it.
