I learned that there are five specialized groups: teaching beginners, teaching individual students, teaching children, Business English/ English for Specific purposes (ESP) and the monolingual and the multilingual class.
I studied as well that there are are five categories that define beginners group as follows: the absolute beginner, the false beginner, the adult beginner, the young beginner and the beginner without Roman alphabet.
Tips for teaching beginners such as methodology and techniques, possible problems and motivation were important notions I read in the course along with suggestions, suitable activities, class discipline/ management advices and necessary materials in order to provide an effective teaching for all the groups.
