This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This lesson was an overview of productive skills--speaking and writing. It highlighted differences between ?guided? accuracy activities and ?creative? fluency activities. The lesson also touched on potential roadblocks a teacher may face when encouraging students to speak and it provided techniques to help entice students? interest. Just like in Unit 11, it brought back memories of my high school German class. One particular lesson comes to mind where the teacher would start class by asking the class as a whole and then also individual students about the weather. It then continued to exercises where we would we would match up the weather vocabulary to the corresponding picture. Then we did just as Unit 12 mentions: we would pick a country and season from a hat and then give the typical forecast for that time of year.
