This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
In this unit e covered modal verbs, phrasal verbs and the passive voice.
We looked at how different modal verbs are used to modify verbs in order to express different meaning or ideas and some useful teaching ideas that could be used during the activate stage of a lesson.
I've further learnt the difference between the active and the passive voice with focus on how the passive voice is formed when using different tenses and its common usage.
I've also learnt the different relative clauses and how the defining relative clause is essential to the meaning of the sentence where as the non-defining relative clause only gives more information and is non-essential to the meaning of the sentence.
Finally I've learnt the 3 types of phrasal verbs and why it may be more effective teaching phrasal verbs within a specific topic in order to make the process of learning easier for the student.
