This lesson was about evaluation and testing of students. It touched on tutorials, evaluation, and testing. This unit have a fair amount of information about the different types of tests for students. In class the teacher may give a placement tests, progress tests, diagnostic tests(at the start of the course), and practice tests for an external exam. There are several external exams students may be taking depending on their goals and motivation for learning English.These range from TOEFL, IELTS, and TOEIC. There are also several external exams offered by the Cambridge Assessment. As far as in class evaluation is concerned progress tests would be most useful once the course off and running for at least a few weeks. Such tests and be used to see if any adjustments or review of the material being taught need to be made.
