in this lesson I learned about the pros and cons of using course books, that the course books will have to be complimented by using authentic or creative material or both, depending on the level of English the teacher is teaching. If the teacher is choosing the course book, a few facts will have to be taken into consideration, such as price, availability, design, methodology, skills, difficulty, syllabus and the relevancy of the topics for students, how good is the teacher's guide and if it has any other teacher aids. The teacher will have the option of omitting certain material from the book, replacing some, supplementing or adapting to the level and the objectives of the class.
