I enjoyed this unit because it deals with implementation of teaching styles and techniques. The methods highlighted here give me a flexible range of options to use at my disposal according to the lessons and the level of the students. Teaching has a rhyme and reason to it and these structures help to organize and deliver the teaching objectives with clear direction and intent. I think sometimes as teachers, our lessons can be chaotic and all over the place. I found the ESA theory/technique to make a lot of sense on how to plan and deliver a lesson to the students. I also appreciated the reminders on when to correct and how to correct. If done improperly, our correcting may actually create more harm than we realize. It is also good to highlight that mistakes and errors are not the same thing.
