This unit taught me about the different ways to manage a classroom and how to establish rapport with students. I recognized phrases such as teacher talk time and how it can be both beneficial to the lesson and also detrimental in that it takes away from students practicing the language. It all comes down to who your students are and what they are trying to learn in the lessons; sometimes a teacher must adjust the rapport with the students based on who the latter is. It was also helpful to understand the different classroom types and how teachers can use them to their advantage to teach their lessons effectively.
