After completing this unit, I believe that planning lessons in advance is very important. However, I can also see that flexibility is essential for a class to develop and learn to the best of their ability. There needs to be a balance. This balance will depend on the experience of the teacher and of course, the stage and age group of the learners. Planning and recording information for future reference helps to keep the classes consistent but also fresh and new. It enables language learnt to not be forgotten and used/played activities/games not to be overly repeated and therefore risk loss of interest and other teaching issues etc.
