This unit described an approach to published materials for teaching English explaining what should be considered when choosing a course book for working with students of a certain level. Especially, the most interesting part was about advantages and disadvantages of using the book in a classroom. It teaches how to be creative using a course book with texts and exercises, and what should be evaluated if a teacher decides to use this book for his/her lessons. I find this unit very helpful, because as a teacher of Russian I've never been able to use recommended materials blindly. Knowing about my students I've been always very creative with any lessons offered by any text or exercise book.
