I really thought this lesson was informative because it gave me some clear examples how I could teach reading in listening. I never taught a listening class before, so I had never really understood the way a lesson may be carried out. However, I do have speaking activities that follow a listening exercise. Now I know that I can pre-teach vocabulary that may be difficult for students to understand. Usually, I did acknowledge the unfamiliar words and didn't address them in the activity as well because I didn't think it would be useful for them to learn the new words. Now, I can spend just a few minutes of TS and prepare them to learn the new words in a listening exercise.
