This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit fifteen covered evaluating students and the various types of internal and external tests available to the student learning English as a second language. When evaluating students the teacher has three ways to assess a student language level, tutorials, course evaluation by the students and testing.
Tutorials can be done individually or in groups and can be helpful when reviewing work done, discussing the aims of lessons and letting students know how well they performed the tasks required.
Having students evaluate course lets the teacher know in the form of feed back how the students feel about the course work whether it's too hard, to easy,or just right for their level.
There are various types of testing that the teacher can use to judge a students level of English before beginning a course, during the course and at the end of the course. These include placement tests, progress tests, diagnostic tests practice tests and several external examinations to test a students level of understanding.
