This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I have learn that when two or three people are communicating with each other, we are sure that they are doing so for one of this reasons:
They have some communicative purpose.
They want to say something
They want to listen to something
They are interested to what is being said
So if a teacher whishes to introduce a communicative activity to students, he/she should bring in a number of the above factors. The teacher must create the desire in the students, to communicate.
If this factors are not present, it is far less likely that the activity will be the success that the teacher had envisaged. If the student don?t see the point of doing something, they?re far less likely to participate
I also lean the different between the accuracy and the fluency to be, concentrating in producing the accurate language and concentrating on allowing the student to experiment and be creative with language. The fluency and accuracy carry equals important both come into deferent stage of a lesson.
I also lean some techniques on how to encourage student in speaking
Like pair work
Group work
Guided practice

Changing the class
Careful planning
