I have learnt from Unit 3 that there are several different FCC methods to teaching students English language. They are all effective, some are more suited depending on the students level of learning. It is so important to Engage the students with English language by using material such as games, pictures and videos and getting them to participate.Discuss with them words and their meaning, and to give you the teacher feedback. This pinpoints where extra help is required.
Be aware of cultural differences with some words.
Keep the lessons enjoyable and stimulating as this keeps the students interested, and hopefully relaxed.
There are different ways to present a lesson to the class, keeping them engaged.
I have also learnt about corrections and mistakes and the differences between the two. Corrections should be kept to a minimum as it is so much better to let the student work it out for themselves.
